Gratitude Attitude II

Lately life has been a little nut's. We both graduate in a couple week's and both have major projects to finish before we do so. Not to mention Rexburg has become the ever so fabulous black hole around 5 (right when I get done with school) and it's not the greatest to take picture's. So instead of trying to do it all I've taken a little break for the blog world. I hope you don't mind. I will be back with some killer outfit's after next week when I am a official graduate of Paul Mitchell! Woo So be ready!

Our Thanksgiving was perfect, everything a Holiday should be. Relaxing and entertaining. We woke up late (9!) ate breakfast, played with Coco (that never happens anymore) took a walk. It was great! We celebrated with friend's this year and I highly suggest it.  I've never celebrated a major holiday with friends before it was so much fun and seriously hilarious! I haven't laughed that much in week's, much needed, thanks friends. It was also my first thanksgiving as a Vegetarian. I was little nervous it wouldn't be as delicious but as being a vegetarian has proved to me over these last couple month's your never missing much. Thanksgiving is still just as good without a turkey! Maybe better because you have more of an excuse to eat more stuffing. Even Coco got her own version of Thanksgiving!

What I was Thankful for this year:

David (cliche) but seriously he put's up with a lot of craziness and I couldn't be more thankful for that!
My Family even though they are far from me I know they love me!
My education, it's amazing what you can learn in a year.
Coco.
Friends.
Mexican Food.
My Home.
A healthy body.
My hair, its exactly how I've always wanted.
Homemade Egg McMuffins.
Time spent with friends and family.
Books.
Everyone who takes the time to look at his blog.
A warm bed.
That the Christmas Season is finally here.

Gratitude Attitude.

At Paul Mitchell we follow a Be Nice culture, simply put be nice to other's. We received a book our first day of school called Be Nice Or Else. It's an awesome book about how to be nicer to yourself and everyone around you and then surely good thing's will come to pass. In one chapter the author talk's about being grateful for the thing's that are thought of as negative in our life's. Turning around the negative into something positive. For example I am grateful for my high electric bill because that mean's I am warm. Since I've kind of dropped the ball on my daily gratitude list I thought I would share a few thing's that I wouldn't usually give thanks for.

I am grateful for a cat that wake's me up early because that mean's I have a pet.

I am grateful for my little apartment because that mean's I have less to clean.

I am grateful for a huge wish list from J. Crew because that mean's I have something to work towards.

I am grateful for all my friend's who've graduated because that mean's I get to make new one's.

I am grateful for the cold because I will appreciate Summer more.

I am grateful I get to go to school today because I will learn.

I am grateful the plasma center's truck is so loud in the morning because someone will be helped.

I would love to hear what thing's you wouldn't usually give thanks for.

Lipstick Review

Sorry for the poor quality of these photo's. Photobooth is great for party pic's but not so good for when you need to show detail. I shot a really awkward upclose of my lip's hopefully you can see the color better. Also awkward taking picture's of yourself on Photobooth anyways the Lipstick. I'm wearing MACs Angel and I LOVE this lipstick it goes on a like a gloss but stays like a lipstick should. This color is great because it still dresses you up but it's not over powering like a red sometimes can be, and I don't have to worry about it rubbing on my face while eating. I tried on many pink's at MAC and this one was by far my favorite.

Licenses

Yesterday we drove to Salt Lake and back.

To get this (marriage license)
and to Eat some Tony Caputo's
To prove I was married to him
So I could get this today
To prove I really am Courtney Palmer to take my test to Prove I am an awesome Hair Stylist to get another license of cosmetology. Name changing is not fun but after 3 year's of marriage I am now a Palmer on all form's of identification. (except my passport but I will do that later)

Welcome Winter

Dress: Diesel, Tights: Urban, Boots: Old Navy.

It snowed over the weekend, and it's been freezing outside ever since. I was hoping the bitter cold would wait until after Thanksgiving but O well. I've spent my whole day trying to figure out a way to get a license in Idaho so I can take my state board's next week to be a licensed cosmetologist. But I don't have the right proof of address and I don't have the right marriage license. I didn't know one marriage license was more correct than the other. Heaven help me! So now I'm currently waiting for two different people to call me back it's a big mess. So at this point I may or may not be taking my test next week. Hopefully all is well tomorrow.

Fancy Friday

 One Dress. Two look's.

Dress: Gap. Blouse: Gap. Jacket: F21. Heels: Urban. Bracelets/Belts: F21.

This dress is actually a velvet blue but you can't really tell in the pictures. I couldn't decide which way I wanted to style this dress so I took pictures of both. I would probably wear it with the Blouse during the day and then at night put on the jacket to dress it up a little bit more. I've actually never done a day and night switch before. I usually just completely change. I should try it though because sometimes after school I don't have anytime to change before we go out for the night.
Happy Fancy Friday! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Lipstick Review

Another lipstick review hooray! I'm wearing Maybelline's are you red-dy. I love it for two reason's its cheap and it's shiny. The MAC lipsticks that I have tried are always matte. Or maybe I just always choose the matte finish.... I will check it out next time I'm close to a MAC. Anyways its a great lipstick for those on a little budget and it goes on easily. Check out last week's lipstick review.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Last minute I had the idea of being The Mr. and Mrs. Fantastic Mr. Fox for our Halloween dinner party. I think all together we spent $5. I just love that David was so willing to paint his face he look's amazing. In case you haven't seen the movie Mr. Fox catches chicken's, so that is what David is holding in the air. Our friend's made a delicious white bean chili with the most amazing cornbread, I made some pumpkin pie and we played some ridiculously funny games. It was a good way to spend our Halloween night. Now onto the next Holiday!
