Goodbye Curls

(after one of our first dates. I had mentioned that I wanted to go feed the Duck's in Idaho Falls and a couple day's later he surprised me with a trip to IF to feed the Duck's. So thoughtful! I knew I had found someone who would make me very happy!)

When I first met David he had long gorgeous curly locks. I loved them. I thought he looked so Handsome. Then I cut them off for him. Why did I agree to do this? I regret it because now he won't grow them back. He has tried twice since I cut them off the first time. Once while we were living in Denver he only lasted for a little under two months. Then this January I convinced him to grow his hair out again and for awhile I really thought he was going to do it. But he just couldn't handle it so I cut his hair. He poofed out his hair before I took these pictures it usually looks really good.

Dave be normalNormal!
ok he tried

the end.

visitor (Bryan Palmer)

Bryan Palmer came to Rexburg, Idaho a couple of week's ago.
To visit the other Palmer boys and a new Palmer girl.

we took him to the best restaurant in my opinion all of Idaho.

The Snake Bite
I am not a huge lover of burger's.
I never order them at restaurant's but the snake bite knows how to do it right.
I can't not order this burger whenever I go.
I tried.
I couldn't do it.

Mr. Palmer (i love him)
Then we went to G's Dairy they sale Ice Cream.

This picture is somewhat blaspheme.
I am a Dairy Queen person through and through.
I would much rather be at Dairy Queen enjoying a Blizzard full or Oreo's.
That is unless there is Blue Bell around.
But I couldn't pass up taking a picture of me with a Cow.
Those who have been to Disney World with me know this very well.
The next night we went to the midnight showing up Iron Man 2
and I feel asleep 2 times.
But the boy's enjoyed it.
And I enjoyed my home brought popcorn and cookies.
Is this considered a lie? or stealing?

Thanks for coming to visit Bryan! It was a blast!
I hope you come our way again soon!
sorry for using so many (!) in your special post.
i know how you feel about them.

Brittany's Graduation

This post is very late coming, but it's coming. David's sister Brittany graduated from BYU and we went to Utah to be there for the celebration even though we missed the celebration.... we we're there for the after party! Were so proud of her for working so hard to graduate and so glad we got to see their new baby boy.
Maddy (sweetest little girl) enjoying something yummy........

Hailey is the daughter of one of David's Cousin's so i'm not sure what that makes Hailey to me? but she wore a dress cause she knew she was coming to see me and she knows that I love dresses. I thought that was so thoughtful for a little girl to remember something so silly as me liking to wear dresses that she would want to wear one when coming to see me and I love her for it!I love this girl! Who wouldn't? Check out those awesome dance moves she's so funny I love getting to stay with her and her amazing mom when we visit Utah. She's got a pretty cool brother as well but I didn't get any pictures of him.
just one of the kid's

too cute!
Grandpa and Grandma Palmer have ten children. Sadly Grandma Palmer passed away last August however I love to look at the picture wall they have in their home (behind everyone I should have taken a picture of it) of all their children and grand children and see the many people who have come into the world and into the church because of those two. Pretty cool! the boys
the girls
everyone
We went to Tony Caputo's I've talked about it before in said {post}
David has been wanting to take his mom there for awhile because he figured she would really like it and it's in a really cute part of downtown Salt Lake. If I had to live in Salt Lake that is probably where I would live.

then we went to a cute bakery next to Tony Caputo's and got some delicious treats.
The Salt Lake Temple has always been my favorite I use to dream of going there when I was little. and then on July 19th 2008 I did with David Palmer and was sealed for time and all eternity!
I love to see MY temple!
I'm a happy wife!

Thanks Palmer's for a great weekend and Congrats to Brittany!

Inspiration

"regarding our earthly journey the Lord has promised, I will go before your face, I will be on your right hand and on your left. My spirit shall be in your hearts and mine angels round about you to bear you up. That is an ever lasting deceleration of God's love and care for us including and perhaps especially in times of trouble."
-Elder Jeffery R. Holland

I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves me!

side note: usually I do not look forward to the arrivial of our Ensign. Even the conference edition I do not worry about. when it comes it comes. However this time I was much looking forward to our Ensign arriving. I have been waiting for it since the end of conference a month ago. It was may 10th and our Ensign still hadn't come and I started to worry it never would but it did and I'm excited.

Tart Lime Cookies

I really thought I liked taking pictures of people but lately food has been so much more entertaining! I made the tart lime cookies on Sunday talked about in below post and I didn't think they we're so tart or so lime... but they were so fun to make I LOVE MAKING COOKIES! I want to own a cute cookie shop in California, decorate it in all Anthro, play some Rilo Kiley and have a cat who live's there and everyone will love her!

Anyways I made said cookies and they we're good I took them to the ward Chat n' Chow (or some of us may know it as Linger Longer's*) and a little bird told me that my cookies were getting passed down the line while people waited to get food.... I find this hard to believe but if it did happen how cool is that?

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups cane sugar or regular granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
zest of 2 large limes
12 ounces (3 sticks) unsalted butter, cut up
2 large limes (I used 2 1/2 medium)

Sugar Coating:
1 1/2 cups sugar
(which is SO much we had a lot left over you could get by with only 1/2 a cup of sugar)
zest of 1 lime

Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and lime zest in the bowl of your Kitchen Aid with whisk attachment turn on low speed until zest is reduced to smaller pieces.

Change to paddle attachment add the butter and on until it is completely mixed into the dry ingredients, but the mixture is still powdery. Add the eggs and pulse until the dough forms a ball.

Turn out the dough onto a floured work surface and divide into two equal pieces. Form each into a cylinder about 9 inches long.

Clean any flour off the work surface and combine the sugar and lime zest, working together with fingertips for a minute to release the lime flavor into the sugar. Pour the sugar onto the work surface in a wide line about 9 inches long. Roll one of the logs of dough in it to coat the outside completely. Repeat with the other log of dough. Wrap each log of dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.

When you are ready to bake the cookies, set racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 350˚F. Line cookies sheets with parchment paper.

Cut the logs of dough into 1/4-inch thick slices and arrange them on prepared pans about 1 inch apart on all sides. Repeat with the second log of dough, or wrap, freeze, and save it for another day.

Bake the cookies until they are firm and golden around the edges, 15 to 20 minutes. After the first 10 minutes, place the pan from the lower rack on the upper one and vise versa, turning the pans from back to front at the same time. Slide the papers off the pans to cool the cookies. If you only have one pan of cookies to bake, adjust the racks to the middle of the oven.

Store cookies at room temperature between sheets of wax paper in a tin or plastic container with a tight fitting lid.

Recipe modified from {honey&jam}

* Linger Longer's need to happen more often David's ward in Seattle had one at Christmas time and it was the funnest church activity I have ever been to I need more of them.
