Dear Hair, 

I've been really sick of you lately and can't decide how to fix it. Go darker, stay in the ombre, go lighter all over? As you can see it's been a problem. While trying to figure this out though you've been really annoying me, so yesterday I thought we would try something different. A New 'Do if you will. We usually just stick to two styles, the top bun, and a wavy look. But why not try a braid with a cute pony?

Ya that was fun, different feels good, we should try it more often.

It's Ok

-To change your outfit 3 times in one day. 

-If you fell in asleep in class yesterday. 

- To want to wear your "fur" coat anytime there is a slight wind chill. 

-If it's been awhile since you've washed your make up brushes. 

-To pretend you have to go a different way to class to avoid talking to the weird o guy, but then he just ends up seeing you again and you have to quickly avoid eye contact/walk faster. 

- To stalk your own instagram. It's like a scrapbook.

-That your bun is a little off center, and falling apart. It's unique.

Sometimes you just need three days of doing absolutely nothing to feel recharged. And absolutely nothing is exactly what we did all weekend. Along with sleeping in,  reading some good books, taking time to decorate the apartment, going to our favortie resturants, and of course lot's of yummy desserts. Also the non stop rain made it easy to be lazy, but honestly we really didn't mind.

Hope you had just as a relaxing weekend as we did! Now to just make it through the day without falling asleep....

A little sneak peek into a Makeover Monday for next week.

Just wanted to pop in for a quick second to say hello to you! I  hope you're having a fabulous long weekend! The sun has finally decided to show itself today after a long weekend of hiding under some rain clouds. So hopefully we can squeeze in a bike ride before the rain comes back!

It's ok.....

-  To treat thursday like it's Friday, there's nothing wrong with a little pre-weekend celebration. 

- If you have an after dinner, bed time snack every once in awhile.

- To have your husband help you a little with your design homework. He went to school for it, why not take advantage, plus he's better than you. 

- If you take forever to order a dessert at the DQ, those are your calories to waste and it better be good! 

-To then quickly change your mind after you order. 

- To leave a huge pile of clothes on your side of the closet all week. That's what a walk in closet is for. Right Dave?

- To make a mood board of your family pictures because you are super excited to have them taken with this lady. 

- To use your husbands body wash when you run out.

*This shirt is so old like High School old, but Ralph Lauren never changes styles. So I went and checked their website and sure enough you can still buy this shirt today. Crazy!

I went to check the mail this morning in hopes that my J. Crew cardigan would be there but I only found my J. Crew catalog (which is a little treasure in itself) and it was full of lovely things for summer.


In a couple of weeks David is taking me on a trip for my birthday. Now I don't know where we are going but I know it will be sunny and I know I will be swimming. So being all inspired from the catalog I compiled a list of J. Crew goodies I wish could come with me on our trip.  

Also J. Crew is offering free shipping and returns on their swim collection all summer long!

Dear Car, thanks for starting for me this morning maybe we can do that again this afternoon.

Makoever Monday

Hooray a Makeover Monday! Finally right? So sorry it's been hit or miss Makeover Mondays take a lot of time and  a lot of work so it can be difficult doing it every week.

I randomly met Dawn at the salon I work at and I was telling her all about Makeover Mondays and she instantly volunteered. I had a lot of fun getting to know her better and come to find out we are neighbors. Small World!

I've been fighting off a cold all week. It just hit me in the middle of the night, I woke up with a terrible sore throat and it just got worse from there. 

I'm honestly surprised I even got dressed this week.  I guess its true what they say, the way you dress can really affect the way you feel.

Also as you can see I got my scooter! That's for sure been a huge pick me up! Another huge pick me up? Getting a cardigan for more than $100 off the original price, Go Me!

A Lipstick review!

Revlon Fire & Ice. Wal-Mart $5 

 Haven't seen one of these in awhile forgive me! I've been meaning to talk about this lipstick since I received it in my Easter basket (so over a month ago) because it's been my go to ever since!  It's the perfect red and I can wear it with almost anything! And I do, if you've noticed it's in almost every single outfit post this past month.

I would highly recommend it as an everyday lip color. It's the perfect pop of color and it doesn't wash you out. It's easy to remove before eating as almost all Revlon lip colors are, I don't know if that's just because it's cheap or what. But I love it!

I love a lipstick that's easy to put on and easy to take off, but stays all day, and Revlon has it all!

It's Ok.....

-To use candles as weights for Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred. 

- To not wear makeup when you're feeling a little under the weather and then use sunglasses to cover up your no makeup face. 

-If you think Forever 21 is better than H&M. It is! 

 

-If you use the same filter on Instagram for almost every picture.(thanks nat)

-To have pizza more than once a week, you're young!

-If you excessively chat with the J.Crew online personal shopper about what to wear for your family photos. Those people are your friend, right?

-To brush your teeth in a restaurant bathroom. Oral health is important.

- To brush your teeth in the Men's room, single stale no line. It just makes sense.

This outfit didn't receive too much spotlighting yesterday, I wore it outside of the house for maybe 30 minutes. That darn car wouldn't start again and I was stuck at the house.  The trip to Utah really did her in I guess. However there is hope! We looked at a scooter yesterday and we should be getting it sometime this week! The only thing is I don't have a very good track record with driving scooters, so I'm really going to have to work on that.

Let me tell you a few little things you should know about me.

A. I am the worst at taking pictures on trips/vacations. Unless it is somwhere I've never been.
B. I do not wear "new" outfits on trips to Utah, I pack things that are comfy yet cute. Especially last minute trips to Utah when I do not have time to find something new. So no outfit pics for you.


Now some things about our trip to the great valley of Salt Lake.

A. First things first, I ate a Burger. As in RED MEAT! A huge let down, fried chicken is much better.
B. Big thanks to the Mike and Annie for letting us stay with them very last minute.
C. Utah is a confusing place Salt Lake is not the same as Draper or Murry.
D. We hung out with Family and that was great.
E. We are addicted to IKEAs low prices. enough said.
F. Shopping is way better in Utah than Rexburg. enough said.
G. I don't know if Salt Lake is in a valley I  might have made that up.

I'm bummed you can't see my awesome Polka Dot tank, that's what I get for taking early morning pictures again I guess. I found this gem of a cardigan at Downeast for I'm sure half the price of what it was going for at J. Crew.  It's perfect for my annual trip to the Hamptons.... (not really)

Here we go gingham round two! If I was being honest with you I would tell you I also wore it this weekend, but I'm  not so you'll never know that. I will be honest though and say sorry for the limp hair and limp facial expressions, I swear I was smilling really big for you, but early morning pictures are just not my thing. 

But no worries I'm getting my lovely locks cut today so they we will be a little more bouncy for you tomorrow and my face should perk up this afternoon. 

I have a serious love hate relationship with getting my hair cut. As a hairdresser I know it's so important but as just a regular girl who loves her long her I don't ever want to cut it, but those ends keep starring at me so off they come!
