I've changed my vegetarian ways as in I ate.... Chicken. Gasp!
Last Saturday out of the blue I decided
we were going to have Chick-fil-a for lunch, and just from it's name you know the vegetarians don't hang out there. However! It was the most amazing,
beautiful, tasty chicken I've ever had, and I didn't regret it for one
second.
So why did I do it? I just decided I've had enough, I wanted some chicken, my soul wanted chicken if you know what I mean. And I thought long and hard as to why I was not feeding my soul. The conclusion was out of obligation and to prove myself.
But I had already done that. 9 months is a good amount of time to prove you have some will power. I tried it and loved it. I learned a lot about my body and what it needs, and most importantly I've learned how to better take care of my body.
Since then I've been eating chicken and fish on occasion, I'm not sure I want to go back to eating red meat just yet, and I'm totally happy with my decision it feels good and my soul is now happy.
Now only if I had the will power to go 9 months with no sweets.
9 months is definitely a long time and I'm sure you learned a lot, you deserve to enjoy some delicious chicken!
ReplyDeletehaha thanks. It really is so good. Especially when you haven't had it in forever.
DeleteA lovely outfit you have there, I like the little gold extras :) And I know the problem about sweets, I wish I could to that, too!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be wonderful, it's really the only thing I can't say no to.
DeleteI love that skirt! It's such a simple shape and color, I bet you would wear it so many different ways! It looks great on you :)

I agree it's totally versatile, and a perfect excuse to buy a new skirt. :)
Delete9 months without sweets, you are hilarious. I was born vegetarian (religious reasons), so I have never craved meat, but I, as a vegetarian, thank you for trying.
ReplyDeleteAnd your skirt is lovely. Love how it dresses up a simple tee.
That's so interesting what religion are you if you don't mind me asking. So do you animal products like cheese, and milk?
Deletegood for you for lasting that long to your commitment! love this skirt :-)

I'm vegetarian, but I eat fish...which some people don't get. But you've just got to do what's best for you! And I definitely would not be able to give up my sweet tooth for any amount of time. I'm too much of a chocoholic! ;)
